On the 18t October 2010, the Breetish govrenment announced that Sizewell wis ane o the echt sites whilk it consìdert confeerin for future nuclear pouer stations.[2] As o 2014[update] EDF Energy had not published a schedule for applyin for plannin permission.[3] On the 21t October 2015, it was reportit that Breetain an Cheenae haed reakit Strategic Investment Agreements for three nuclear pouer plants, includin ane at Sizewell,[4] though nae specific financin plans for Sizewell wis greed.[5] As o 2016, the seicont stage of the Sizewell C consultation is yet tae tak place. The final investment decìsion for Sizewell C is anerly likely tae tak place efter the Hinkley Point C build will hae stertit.[6] In October 2017, it was announced that the projeckit completion an first generation date o Sizewell C wad be in 2031.[7]
