Save Our Souls is an American Alternative rock baund wis was foonded unner the name Chiba-Ken (after the Chiba Prefecture near Tokyo) in New York Ceety in 2003 by singer-songwriter George William, guitarrist Elias Tannous and drummer Jason D'Amelio.
After some line-up changes the baund consists of George William, Elias Tannous, Jason D'Amelio, Graham Goetz on Bass and Julian Ken as second guitarist. Ken bided in Kazakhstan before he moved to the US and auditioned in front o the band in 2008. William worked as a director, cinematographer (The Last Days of The Hate Bombs) and actor (Day After Tomorrow, All My Children and Tony n' Tina´s Wedding) afore starting his musical career[1][2].
Efter recording their first EP Faces of the Moment in 2005 Gotham Records, a 1994-foonded NYC-based Indie record label spend attend on the baund. Chiba-Ken got signed after releasing their Demo Winter Sessions just one year later. Their debut album Are We Innocent? was released on October 6th, 2006 and has sold mair nor 7,000 copies in the USA only.
While recording their second album Hard to Be Human baund and label split up. Chiba-Ken moved to Los Angeles in Summer 2009. Short after moving the baund started first concerts in LA. They played at legendary Whisky A Go-Go and Viper Room. LA Weekly named the baund as one of the best newcomer rock band in LA-based music scene.
In January 2010 the baund changed the name into Save Our Souls. The band played at Sunset Strip Music Festival in front of mair nor 30,000 people. They shared stage wis acts like Iron Maiden, From Autumn to Ashes, Kittie, Cartel, Kid Cudi, Travie McCoy, Dave Lombardo from Slayer, Veins of Jenna, The Smashing Pumpkins, Steel Panther, Andrew W.K., The Ataris, Boysetsfire, Byzanthine, On Broken Wings, God Forbid, Glassjaw and Powerman 5000 during their career.
The baund will release a new EP in 2011 and planned to confirm at Rock am Ring Band contest, where they could win a slot at Rock am Ring. It would be their second concert in Europe. On February, 15th Save Our Souls announced that Elias Tannous is not part of the band anymore.
