San Juan Achiutla is a toun an municipality in Oaxaca in sooth-wastren Mexico. The municipality covers a area o 49.76 km². It’s locatit in a muntain range, atween the hills Negro tae the east, Yucuquise tae the northwast, Cuate tae the north an Totolote tae the sooth. It’s crossed bi the river Los Sabinos an haes a dam cried Cahuayande. Its climate is temperate. It’s in the Heich Mixteca (Mixteca Alta), ane o the three pairties that mak up the Mixteca region, an in the Mixteca Alta, is pairt o wha wis Achiutla, the significant Prehispanic place.
As o 2005, the municipality haed a total population o 401.[1]
