Chalcatongo de Hidalgo (an aw, Chalcatongo an Villa Hidalgo) is a municipality in the Mexican state o Oaxaca. It is pairt o the Tlaxiaco Destrict in the sooth o the Mixteca Region.[1]
It is the birthplace o umwhile Govrenor Ulises Ruiz Ortiz.
