Lucena (population c. 42,000) is a toun in soothren Spain, in the province o Córdoba, in Andalusie, 60 km sootheast o Córdoba, 85 km north o Málaga, 140 km east o Seville, 105 km wast o Granada, an 90 km soothwast o Jaén. It is the seicont major ceety in the province efter the provincial caipital (cried Córdoba). It's locatit at the conjunction o important highways in the geographical centre o Andalusie. Fowk frae Lucena are cried "Lucentinos." The ceety wis oreeginally kent as Eliossana, frae the Ebreu אלי הושענא Elí hoshanna, "Mey God save us". Muslims cried it اليشانة Al-Yussana.
