Efter Revie's departure tae manage the Ingland team, Leeds wur relegated tae the Seicont Division in 1982, nae returnin tae the tap flight until 1990, when thay wur managed bi Howard Wilkinson. During the 1990s an early 2000s Leeds competit for places in Europe, reachin the semi-finals o the UEFA Cup an the UEFA Champions League in consecutive seasons. Houiver, efter severe financial difficulties an a mass sale o players, Leeds wur relegated frae the Premier League an subsequently frae The Championship three year later. Efter three seasons in League Ane thay wur promoted back tae the Championship on the last day o the 2009-10 saison.
