The La Plata dowphin or Franciscana (Pontoporia blainvillei) is foond in coastal Atlantic watters o sootheastren Sooth Americae. Taxonomically, it is a member o the river dowphin group an the anly ane that actually lives in the ocean an seltwatter estuaries, rather than inhabitin exclusively freshwatter seestems.
