Sir James Young Simpson, 1st Baronet (7 Juin 1811 – 6 Mey 1870) wis a Scots obstetrician an a signeeficant feegur in the history o medicine. Simpson wis first tae demonstrate the anaesthetic properties o chloroform on humans an helped tae popularise the drog for uise in medicine.[1]
