The hairst moose (Micromys minutus) is a smaw mammal o the order Rodentia naitive tae Europe an Asie. It is a kynd o moose. It can bi found in fields of cereal crops, lyke as wheat an aits, in reed beds o in other tall ground vegetation, lyke long grass an hedgerows. It has reddish-brown fur wit whyte underpairts an a nakit tail that it uises faer climbin. It is the smawist European rodent; an adult mey weigh as few as 4 grams (0.14 oz). Breedin nests are spherical constructions carefully woven frae grass an attachit tae stems hygh up.

The hairst moose ranges frae 55 tae 75 millimetres (2.2 tae 3.0 in) long, an its tail frae 50 tae 75 millimetres (2.0 tae 3.0 in) long; it weighs frae 4 tae 11 grams (0.14 tae 0.39 oz),[2][3] or aboot half the weight o the hoose moose (Mus musculus). The eyes an ears are relatively lairge. It has a smaw nose, wit short, stubble whiskers, an'a thick, soft fur.[4]
