The Georgie Soviet Socialist Republic (Georgie: საქართველოს საბჭოთა სოციალისტური რესპუბლიკა sakartvelos sabch'ota socialist'uri resp'ublik'a; Roushie: Грузинская Советская Социалистическая Республика Gruzinskaya Sovetskaya Sotsialisticheskaya Respublika), kent as the Georgie SSR an aw, wis ane o the republics o the Soviet Union.
It is coterminous wi the present-day Georgie, a pre-existin kintra in the Caucasus which gained autonomy as a constituent republic o the Union o Soviet Socialist Republics efter bein annexed bi Roushie in 1810 an in 1920 bi the Roushie Soviet Federative Socialist Republic, an became unthirlt upon the dissolution o the Soviet Union in 1991, whareupon each umwhile SSR became a sovereign state.
