In 1819 wis decidit the construction o a new port in near Caibarién tae replace an auld ane locatit in Tesisco. Frae that moment, sattlers established in the surroondins creatin a new veelage. In 1832 blueprints for the new toun o Caibarien wur presentit, an feenally in 1841 this ceety wis foondit. Consequently in 1864 an extension o the railwey wis planned in order tae bring the succar frae the Camajuani glen tae Caibarien an a new dounsett began near the Train station.[1] This is the stairtin pynt an birth o Camajuani veelage.

1 Januar 1871 Camajuani wis declared a «villa» an on 1 August 1879 the ceety haw wis established. The first mayor o the villa wis Hipólito Escobar Martelo.
