Burton Richter (born Mairch 22, 1931; deed Julie 18, 2018) wis a Nobel Prize-winnin American pheesicist. He led the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center (SLAC) team which co-discovered the J/ψ meson in 1974, alangside the Brookhaven Naitional Laboratory (BNL) team led bi Samuel Ting. This discovery wis pairt o the sae-cried November Revolution o pairticle pheesics. He wis the SLAC director frae 1984 tae 1999.
