The blue gled (Circus cyaneus) is a bird o prey. The genus name Circus is derived frae Auncient Greek kirkos, meanin 'circle', referrin tae a bird of prey named for its circlin flicht. The speceefic cyaneus is Laitin, meanin "dark-blue".[2]
