Bender, Moldovae

Bender^[1] or Bendery, forby kent as Tighina (Romanian; Roushie: Бендеры, Bendery; Ukrainian: Бендери, Bendery) is a city athin the internaitionally recognised mairches o Moldovae unner de facto control o the unrecognized Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic (Transnistrie) sin 1992. Locatit on the richt (wastern) bank o the river Dniester in the historical region o Bessarabie, thegither wi its suburb Proteagailovca, the city forms a municipality, that is separate frae Transnistrie accordin tae the Moldovan law. Bender is locatit in the buffer zone established at the end o the 1992 War o Transnistrie.

Whiles the Joint Control Commission haes owerridin pouers in the city, Transnistrie haes de facto admeenistrative control.
