Bender, Moldovae
Bender[1] or Bendery, also known as Tighina (Romanian; Roushie: Бендеры, Bendery; Ukrainian: Бендери, Bendery) is a ceety athin the internaitionally recognized borders o Moldovae unner de facto control o the unrecognized Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic (Transnistrie) syne 1992. Locatit on the richt (wastern) bank o the river Dniester in the historical region o Bessarabie, thegither wi its suburb Proteagailovca, the ceety forms a municipality, which is separate frae Transnistrie accordin tae the Moldovan law. Bender is locatit in the buffer zone established at the end o the 1992 War o Transnistrie.
While the Joint Control Commission haes owerridin pouers in the ceety, Transnistrie haes de facto admeenistrative control.
