Arapaj
Arapaj is a veelage in the municipality o Rrashbull, Durrës Coonty, Albanie. It is a soothren suburb o Durrës, locatit near the Mediterranean coast, approximately 6 kilometres sooth o this ceety.[1][2]
Arapaj is a notit airchaeological site, containin the substantial Basilica o Saunt Michael dedicatit tae Saunt Michael, an early Palaeo-Christian kirk which is believed tae back tae the fift or saxt century.[3] [4]It haes been declared a Cultural Monument o Albanie acause o its airchitectural significance.[5]A mosaic unearthed in the Basilica an aa demonstrates hou engrained its cultur wis later on wi the early Byzantine Empire.[6]
