In August 2006 the baund chyngit it's veesion upon muisic an chyngit the style approached, sicweys becomin a variety o funeral daith/doom metal. Tae reflect this, thay chyngit thair name tae Aabsynthum in October 2007.
It wis aroond that time that thay released a fower-sang demo. Ae month later, Sprânceana Andrei jyned the baund on drums. Wi this lineup, the baund recordit thair debut album Non Forms... Regressus ad Originem, that wis sel-released on 1 Februar 2009. Cãtãlin left the baund afore it wis released. Twa years later, Andrei left the baund in 2010, an aw, leavin Gabriel tae operate Aabsynthum as a ae-man baund. The baund signed wi Marche Funebre Productions an released Inanimus on 2 Juin 2011.
