Ähtäri (Swadish: Etseri) is a toun an municipality o Finland.

It is locatit in the Soothren Ostrobothnie region. The toun haes a population o 6,394 (31 August 2013)[2] an covers an aurie o 909.96 square kilometres (351.34 sq mi) o which 105 km2 (41 sq mi) is watter.[1] The population densitie is 7.94 inhabitants per square kilometre (20.6/sq mi).

The municipality is unilingual Finnish.

Ähtäri is kent for tourism. Thare is a zoo an hotel Mesikämmen designed bi Timo an Tuomo Suomalainen which is pairtly built athin bedrock. The biggest lake in the aurie is Ähtärinjärvi. Thare is a relatively auld an sma buird mill cried Vääräkosken Pahvi in Ähtäri.
