Zapicán is a veelage in the northwast o Lavalleja Depairtment in Uruguay. It is locatit on the junction o Route 14 wi Route 40, aboot 24 kilometre (15 mi) east o José Batlle y Ordoñez, wi an elevation o 231 m (758 ft).[1] The railwey track Montevideo - Nico Pérez - Río Branco passes alang the sooth limits o the veelage.
History
[eedit | eedit soorce]It wis foondit bi Pablo Fernández on September 1891 an on 9 Juin 1913, it wis declared a "Pueblo" (veelage) bi the Act o Ley Nº 4.337.[2]
