Velike Poljane (pronounced [ˈveːlikɛ pɔˈljaːnɛ]; German: Großpölland[2]) is a veelage in the Municipality o Škocjan in sootheastren Slovenie. The aurie is pairt o the historical region o Lawer Carniola. The municipality is nou includit in the Sootheast Slovenie Statistical Region.[3]
The local kirk is dedicatit tae Saunt Thomas an belangs tae the Pairish o Škocjan. It is a medieval biggin that wis restyled in the Baroque style in 1731.[4]
