Uiser:Steinbach

Frae Wikipedia, the free beuk o knawledge

You might have seen my name in the Recent changes or in various discussions, so let me introduce myself. I am Steinbach, a musicologist from the Netherlands in my mid-thirties. I am not a speaker of Scots, native or otherwise, and I have no ties with Scotland, which I never visited.

However, I am a veteran editor of various wikis in lesser languages, particularly the Limburgish Wikipedia. Therefore, I have some clear-cut ideas about what a Wikipedia in a regional language can and should look like, formed by 15 years of experience. Not being a Scots speaker, I don't feel entitled to vote on policies, but I do have things to say that newcomers might be happy to take into account.

If you want to address me on anything, please do use Scots. I may not speak it, but I can read it alright.
