Brown flittit tae Australie whan she wis three year auld, an she flittit back tae Scotland in 1999.[4] In 2017, she wis eleckit as a cooncillor fur the Ayr Wast waird o South Ayrshire Council.[5] In Mey 2021, she wis eleckit as a memmer o the Scots Pairlament fur Ayr, winnin by 170 votes, takin ower fae John Scott that haed been the Conservatives' langest serrin MSP.[6]
