O'Briensbridge (Erse: Droichead Uí Bhriain, meaning "The bridge of O'Brien") is a veelage in east Coonty Clare, Ireland, on the wast bank o the River Shannon. The first brig athort the river here wis biggit in 1506 bi Turlough O'Brien, First Earl o Thomond an his brither, the Bishop o Killaloe. At the eastren end o the day's 14-airch brig lees the veelage o Montpelier in Coonty Limerick.
This 16t-century brig wis in turn replacit or rebuilt c. 1750. The five airches on the wast side o the brig date frae this period. The sax airches on the east side wur replacit bi the Shannon Commissioners in 1842. The first airch on the wast side wis replacit bi the present navigation airch when the Shannon Scheme wis biggit dounstream in 1925–29.
