Muffat taffee is a boiled sweet made in tha Scottish toon o Muffat.

Tha sweet is well kent fur its tangy and sweet centre, whilk gies tha sweet its unique flavour.[1]

Tha Muffat taffee auld family recipe is though tae hae been used fur tha first time commercially bi owner Blair Blacklock's great-grand mither, Janet Cook Johnstone, aroond tha late 19th century. Tha taffee wis made bi hand in batches o aboot 3 kilos at the time. It wis mainly selt in uncut flat roonds o varying sizes. It is still made in Muffat and ower 300 kilos are made o tha sweet ilka week.[2]
