Geometrinae is the nominate subfaimily o the geometer moch faimily (Geometridae). It is strangly split, conteenin a considerable nummer o tribes o which maist are presently vera smaw or monotypic, housomeivver. These smaw mochs are aften a licht bluish green, leadin tae the common name o emerald moths, tho a few species cried thus are forbye foond in the tribe Campaeini o the Ennominae.
