English: William Froude memorial on facade of museum The Denny Tank Museum (as it is invariably known locally) is the Dumbarton outpost of the Scottish Maritime Museum. High on its wall on Castle Street is this sculpted memorial to William Froude; his Admiralty Tank in Torquay inspired the experimental ship testing tank (the Denny Tank) that is housed in this museum, and which is still in use at the present day.
