Al Mukalla (Arabic: المكلا Al Mukallā) is a main sea port an the caipital ceety o the Hadramaut coastal region in Yemen in the soothren pairt o Arabie on the Gulf o Aden close tae the Arabie Sea. It is locatit 480 km (300 mi) east o Aden an is the maist important port in the Govrenorate o Hadramaut, the lairgest govrenorate in Sooth Arabie.
Al Mukalla is the fowert lairgest ceety in Yemen wi a population o approximately 300,000. The ceety is servit bi the nearbi Riyan Airport.

It wis the caipital o the Qu'aiti State o Hadhramaut till 1967 when it became a pairt o Sooth Yemen. The Qu'aiti State wis pairt o the Eastren Aden Protectorate till that merger. A Breetish Resident Advisor wis stationed at Al Mukalla.
