DescreeptionPaisley Abbey from North West - Leaning western gable - 125mp.jpg
English: Paisley Abbey and grounds from the north west at Tannahill's statue on Abbey Close.
Photographer's notes I took this photograph with a Sony A33 camera and Tamron 17-50mm lens at 50mm, f8, iso 100, 1/125s. I made a series of 31 landscape frames in 5 rows and stitched them together with Hugin. I fixed some parallax errors concerning lamp-posts by hand-blending some frames with Photoshop. I then used Lightroom to adjust overall levels. The western gable leans disconcertingly, (Source: Undiscovered Scotland) and in most photographs, a degree of vertical perspective distortion "corrects" this structural defect nicely. The photo's wide-angle perspective, and the fact that the lamp-post leans towards it, further emphasise this feature.

Taken from next to Tannahill's statue on Abbey Close, showing the abbey and its grounds. The western gable leans precariously, an effect highlighted by the wide-angle perspective.
