View westward, towards Nairn and Inverness: ex-Highland Railway (Aberdeen) - Keith - Elgin - Forres - Nairn - Inverness main line. Until 18/10/65 (passengers, goods 1/4/68), when the main line from Aviemore via Dava was functioning, the lines at Forres formed a triangle with its platforms in a V-shape in the rebuilt station, with also through tracks (Inverness - Keith) on the third side. {I am not sure why there is no track at the platform on the left here, as there is one in my view
