English: So-called Portrait of Karoline Auguste o Bavarie (1792-1873), from 1808 to 1814 first wife of Crown Prince William I of Württemberg (divorced). From 1816 Empress of Austria, as fourth wife of Emperor Franz I of Austria.
Deutsch: Charlotte Auguste von Bayern 1792-1873, von 1808 bis 1814 erste Frau von Kronprinz Wilhelms von Württemberg (geschieden). 1816 vierte Frau von Kaiser Franz I von Österreich, und wurde Kaiserin Karoline Auguste von Österreich.

"Der Deckel der Taschenuhr zeigt eine junge Frau in blauer Robe mit weißem Hermelinumhang: Prinzessin Charlotte Auguste von Bayern, die 1808 den württembergischen Kronprinzen und späteren König Wilhelm I. (reg. 1816-1864) heiratete. Die Auflösung der aus Staatsräson gestifteten Ehe erfolgte nach der Abdankung Napoleons. Bereits 1816 schlossen beide neue Ehen - Charlotte ehelichte Kaiser Franz I., Wilhelm heiratete Katharina von Russland.

Die Taschenuhr ist in der Schausammlung "LegendäreMeisterWerke" im Alten Schloss ausgestellt. Erworben aus Lotto-Mitteln." [1]
