The Peloponnese region (Greek: Περιφέρεια Πελοποννήσου), is a region in soothern Greece. It borders the Wast Greece region tae the north an Attica tae the north-east. The region haes an aurie o aboot 15,490 km². It covers maist o the Peloponnese peninsulae, except for the northwastren subregions o Achaea an Elis which belang tae Wast Greece.

The Peloponnese region wis established in the 1987 admeenistrative reform. Wi the 2010 Kallikratis plan, its pouers an authority wur redefinit an extendit. Alang wi the Wast Greece an the Ionian Islands regions, it is supervisit bi the Decentralized Admeenistration o the Peloponnese, Wastren Greece an the Ionian Islands based at Patras. The region is based at Tripoli an is dividit intae five regional units (pre-Kallikratis prefectures), Arcadie, Argolis, Corinthia, Laconia an Messenia, which are further subdividit intae 26 municipalities. The lairgest ceety o the region is Kalamata.

The region's govrenor is, syne 1 Januar 2011, Petros Tatoulis, who wis electit in the November 2010 local admeenistration elections for the Panhellenic Socialist Muivement.
