Dhi Qar Province (Arabic: ذي قار Dhī Qār) is a province in soothren Iraq. The provincial caipital is Nasiriyah. Prior tae 1976 the province wis kent as Muntafiq Province. Dhi Qar wis the hertland o the auncient Iraqi ceevilization o Sumer an the ruins o Ur, Eridu, Lagash an Girsu are present here.
