On 25 Februar 1825, Simón Bolívar an the Constituent Congress proclaimed a law definin the new naitional seembols. establishin the new Coat o Airms, similar tae the ane uised the day. This wis designed bi Congressmen José Gregorio Paredes an Francisco Javier Cortés. The offeecial description wis the follaein:

1950 Modification[eedit | eedit soorce]

This is the Coat o Airms uised the day an is a modification o the seicont version. Till 1950, the Coat o Airms wis a seembol o baith the Naition an the State, an presentit some difficulties in its design. These generatit that, months efter its creation, that the seals o meenistries modified the law, cuttin the width o the shield tae design the cornucopia comfortably, an gettin rid o the escortin banners.

The last modification wis in Mairch 1950, during General Manuel A. Odría's admeenistration. In this way, the Coat o Airms wis split in halves, an the lawer section became the lairgest, rather than the smawest. The Naitional Coat o Airms wis creatit simultaneously as a heraldic seembol o the State.
