Ra's Lanuf (Arabic: راس لانوفRā's Lānūf [1], also: Ra’s al Unūf [2]) is a Mediterranean toun in northren Libie, on the Gulf o Sirte. The toun is an aa hame tae the Ras Lanuf Refinery, completit in 1984, wi a crude oil refinin capacity o 220,000 bpd. The oil refinery is operatit bi the Ras Lanuf Oil & Gas Processing Company, a subsidiary o the state-awned National Oil Corporation. Additionally, the ceety hooses the Ras Lanuf petrochemical complex – a major oil terminal – an oil pipelines: the Amal–Ra's Lanuf, the Messla–Ra's Lanuf,[3] an the Defa-Ras Lanuf pipeline. [4]
