Elâzığ is a ceety in Eastren Anatolie, Turkey an the seat o Elâzığ Province. It haes a population o 323,420 accordin tae the 2009 census, an the plain on which the ceety extends haes an altitude o 1067 metres.
Elâzığ initially developed as an extension o the historic ceety o Harput, which wis situatit on a hill an difficult tae access in winter.
