Böblingen is a destrict (Kreis) in the middle o Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Neeebourin destricts are (frae wast clockwise) Calw, Enz, Ludwigsburg, (destrict) Stuttgart, an the destricts Esslingen an Tübingen.

The destrict wis creatit in 1938 as the successor o the Oberamt Böblingen, which dates back tae the duchy o Württemberg. In 1973 the majority o the destrict Leonberg as well as a few municipalities o the destrict Calw wur addit tae the destrict, an a few municipalities muivit tae the destrict Ludwigsburg.

Geography [edit]

A pairt o the destrict is locatit in the Black Forest, ither landscapes covered are the Oberes Gäu an the Schönbuch. The heichest elevation is the 626 m heich Kühlenberg in the municipality Jettingen; the lawest point wi 315 m is in the valley o the Glems at the northren bundary o the destrict.
