Saint Piran's Banner is the flag o Cornwall, in the Unitit Kinrick. The earliest known description of the flag as the Standard o Cornwall wis written in 1838. It is uised bi Cornish fowk as a symbol o identity.

The banner attributed to Saint Piran is a white cross on a black backgrund. Saint Piran is supposed to hae adopted these twa colours frae seeing the molten tin spilling oot o the black ore in his fire. This occurred during his supposed discovery o tin in the 6t century, thus becoming the patron saunt o tin miners.
