Hamgyongnam-do
Sooth Hamgyong (Hamgyongnam-do) is a province o North Korea. The province wis formed in 1896 frae the soothern hauf o the umwhile Hamgyŏng Province, remained a province o Korea till 1945, then became a province o North Korea. Its caipital is Hamhung.

The province is bordered bi Ryanggang tae the north, North Hamgyong tae the northeast, Kangwon tae the sooth, an Sooth Pyongan tae the wast. On the east o the province is the Sea o Japan (East Sea o Korea). Hamgyong is an aw hame tae Yodok preeson camp.
