Yukio Hatoyama (鳩山 由紀夫, Hatoyama Yukio, born 11 Februar 1947) is a umwhile Japanese politeecian who served as Prime Meenister o Japan frae 16 September 2009 tae 2 Juin 2010. He wis the first Prime Meenister frae the modren Democratic Pairty o Japan.[2]

First electit tae the Hoose o Representatives in 1986, Hatoyama acame Preses o the DPJ, the main opposeetion pairty, in Mey 2009. He then led the pairty tae victory in the August 2009 general election, defeatin the lang-govrenin Liberal Democratic Pairty (LDP). He representit the Hokkaido 9t destrict in the Hoose o Representatives.
