The Wehrmacht (German pronunciation: [ˈveːɐ̯maxt] ( listen), lit. "defence force")[N 2] wis the unifiit airmed forces o Nazi Germany frae 1935 tae 1946. It consistit o the Heer (airmy), the Kriegsmarine (navy) an the Luftwaffe (air force).[3]
