Waterloo (French pronunciation: ​[watɛʁlo],[2] Walloon: Waterlô) is a municipality in the province o Walloon Brabant, Belgium, which in 2011 haed a population o 29,706 an an aurie o 21.03 km2 (8.12 sq mi). It is north o Braine-l'Alleud, which is the steid o the Battle o Waterloo, where resurgent Napoleon wis finally defeatit in 1815.
