The Upanishads (/ˈpænɪˌʃædz, ˈpɑːnɪˌʃɑːdz/;[1] singular: Sanskrit: उपनिषत्, IAST: Upaniṣat, IPA: [upəniʂət̪]; plural: Sanskrit: उपनिषदः) are a collection o texts in the Vedic Sanskrit leid[2] which contain the earliest emergence o some o the central releegious concepts o Hinduism, some o which are shared wi Buddhism an Jainism.[2]
