Spelling issues
[edit soorce]Hullo an welcome tae the wiki.
(en) Thanks for your contributions to the Copyricht article, but it looks like there's some issues with your spelling.
"Bi" (pronounced closer to "bae" than "by") isn't necessarily an error in Scots. If you're a native speaker, try saying it out loud as part of a sentence to see if it sounds right, eg "Made bi Nimmo".
"Ae" is closer to English "the" or "one". If you want the Scots version of "of", you'd use "o" (which perhaps confusingly can be pronounced similar to "ae"). Eg, "A want wan o thaim." The corpus has some examples of "ae" and "o".
Thair/thir are variant spellings, either one is acceptable. "Their" is also acceptable.
I hope this doesn't put you off further contributions. I know a lot of us never had a formal education in written Scots (or even spoken Scots, "Talk proper"). If you want to confirm spelling in future you can find information at Wikipedia:Spellin_Fettle#Soorces_for_verification. my_hat_stinks (tauk) 22:35, 27 August 2020 (UTC)
