It's Ulstèr-Scotch, i.e. tha ainly dialeck o Scotch taaked in Airlann. Parnell wis Airisch. Quhat's tha problem? 92.25.219.3 06:14, 12 October 2012 (UTC)[Replie]
(in Inglis) I naturally know who Parnell is.
I am hoping that that is Ulster Scots, but why is Jonchapple not speaking for himself?
You are in Lunnon, IP Uiser.

(in Inglis) That was Jonchapple speaking for himself, but he was on a mobile and forgot to log in! Jonchapple (talk) 08:03, 15 October 2012 (UTC)[Replie]

Good. There are impostors lurking about, sadly.
Thank you for setting up your Uiser page.

Adjust accordingly.
Glad you're an Englishman (false assumption?); we shall have a serious chat.
To follow ... I am tea-less at present.

Sorry, old bean, but I have very little sympathy for your plight since your countrymen ditched the Red Ensign for that maple leaf rag and dropped the snazzy "Dominion" bit from your name. When you inevitably dispatch with the dear old Windsors, too, then we'll really have a problem.
(Thanks for the userboxes, by the way, will add them tae ma uiserpage forthwith. Greetings frae sunny Lunnon!) Jonchapple (talk) 07:59, 16 October 2012 (UTC)[Replie]

Ulster Scots[eedit soorce]

A'm chyngin the nou tae wir common mither tongue.

(in Inglis) We have one (1) Ulster Scots-writing editor. You know who that is.
I have no confirmation that anyone from Glasgow or Edinburgh can read, or wants to read, Ulster Scots.
I have no confirmation that an ordinary Ulsterman, who reads newspapers and books in Standard English all day, is happy with this.

Diacriticals are alien to all varieties of English and to mainland varieties of Scots.
Your rendering of Ulster looks like an anthropologist's PhD thesis based on his fieldwork among the tribe on the remote New Guinean plateau.
It looks like an accent-rich phonetic transcription of a language for academics.
It does not look like something an essentially English-speaking shopclerk would write in a letter to his mum.
