Anarchism[eedit soorce]
(Sorry for the Inglis) First, thank you for fixin ma Scots. Looking at this line from Anarchism:
- "Anarchism as a poleitical idea, is ane that gaes agin hierarchy."
which replaced my line:
- "Anarchism as a poleitical idea, is ane whit gaes agin hierarchy."
My Scots Grammar says that whit's to be used instead o which. Are we using a set standard for this Wikipedia? I don't mind the change, i just want to know if I was wrong in my usage. Canaen 03:06, 3 Mairch 2006 (UTC)
- Yer Scots Grammar's richt -- but only for "which" as a quaisten mairker. Mebbe this'll mak it plain.
- Which book do you want ? ==> Whit beuk div ye want ?
- but
- This is the book which I want. ==> This is the beuk that A want.
- In English ye can uise which for a quaisten or a conjunction but ilk ane owersets differently intae Scots. -- Derek Ross 06:27, 3 Mairch 2006 (UTC)
Socialism[eedit soorce]
About the renaming of "hunneryear" as "century": I've always seen it written hunneryear, and Ae've nivver seen century screived in Scots. Canaen 03:08, 3 Mairch 2006 (UTC)
