A trireme (derived frae Laitin: trirēmis[1] "wi three banks o oars"; Auncient Greek: τριήρης triērēs,[2] leeterally "three-rower") wis an auncient vessel an a teep o gailey that wis uised bi the auncient maritime ceeviliaations o the Mediterranean, especially the Phoenicians, auncient Greeks an Romans.[3][4]
