Steven's Croft is a wood-fired pouer station near Lockerbie in Scotland. It started energy production in 2008. It is operated bi E.ON an is the largest biomass pouer station in the UK. It produces 44 MW o electricity, an burns 60% waste from timber production, 20% coppiced wood, an 20% recycled fibre. It claims tae save 140,000 tonnes o greenhoose gases a year. It uses 480,000 tonnes o fuel per year tae produce 126 MW o thermal energy, an the boiler is optimised tae run at 537 °C an 137 bar pressure. Aqueous wastes are dispersed usin a wetland filterin seestem.
