The Sea o Okhotsk (Roushie: Охо́тское мо́ре, tr. Okhotskoye More; IPA: [ɐˈxotskəjə ˈmorʲə]) is a marginal sea o the wastren Paceefic Ocean,[1] lyin atween the Kamchatka Peninsula on the east, the Kuril Islands on the sootheast, the island o Hokkaidō tae the sooth, the island o Sakhalin alang the wast, an a lang stretch o eastren Siberie coast (includin the Shantar Islands) alang the wast an north. The northeast corner is Shelikhov Gulf. The sea is named efter Okhotsk, the first Roushie settlement in the Far East.
