In chemistry, sauts are ionic compoonds that result frae the neutralization reaction o an acid an a base. Sauts are componed o relatit nummers o cations (positively chairged ions) an anions (negative ions) sae that the product is electrically neutral (withoot a net chairge). Thir component ions can be inorganic, sic as chloride (Cl), or organic, sic as acetate (CH
