The Rub' al Khali (Arabic: الربع الخاليar-Rubʿ al-Ḫālī,[note 1] "Empty Quarter") is the lairgest contiguous saund desert (erg) in the warld,[1] encompassin maist o the soothren third o the Arabian Peninsula.
