An alveolus (plural: alveoli, frae Laitin alveolus, "little cavity") is an anatomical structur that haes the form o a hollae cavity.[1] Foond in the buff parenchyma, the pulmonary alveoli are the terminal ends o the respiratory tree, which outcrop frae either alveolar sacs or alveolar ducts, which are baith steids o gas exchynge wi the bluid as well.[2]
